My skin has cleared up on Zilch. Do I need to keep taking it?
No. Zilch Acne Formula is designed as a long term solution to acne. When the skin is clear, you should be able to stop taking Zilch. General advice is to ween off the herbs by taking 50% dose for two weeks and assessing your skin, to give yourself time to see if you need to continue taking it or not.
I want to stay on Zilch Acne Formula on a maintenance dose after my skin has cleared up. Can I do this?
Yes. Some people opt to stay on it at a very low dose (2 pills once a day) to keep breakouts at bay. This is general advice only. If you need more specific information regarding dosages, please contact your health practitioner or book an appointment with Dr. Vivian Tam at Cosmetic Acupuncture Melbourne.
I am breastfeeding. Can I take Zilch?
Can I crush the tablets?
You are able to crush the tablets and mix them into water, but the herbs are extremely bitter. It is not a taste that you would not disguise in a smoothie, or tolerate chewing. Our advice, if you cannot swallow them, is to crush them, add hot water (1/4 cup) until dissolved into a liquid, hold your nose and have it as a quick shot!
Powder form is how herbal medicines are dispensed in Dr. Vivian’s clinic.
Can men use Zilch?
